The Emergent Cluster Networks serve as sectoral social affinity groups for all stakeholders in search of a sustainable solution to a particular problem. The stakeholders include but are not limited to – entrepreneurs, large corporates, Government agencies, network agencies, NGOs among others.

The Affordable Housing Cluster in Action:

Underserved markets, especially the informal sector generally have limited opportunity and experience in owning homes due to limited sources of reliable information sources, lack of access to credit, and overall weak market linkages in the housing sector. Furthermore, poor quality control allows real estate developers to cut costs, especially in the affordable housing segment. To address these critical issues Emergent has created the Affordable Housing Cluster that includes Indian and multinational corporations with sustainable material solutions and technology for affordable homes, banks and mortgage institutions, bi-lateral agencies providing access to credit and knowledge services to borrowers, NGOs working with the underserved markets,

The other Cluster Networks currently underway are in:

  • Sustainable Agriculture
  • Off-grid distributed Energy
  • Inclusive Healthcare
  • Clean Water and Sanitation
  • Information and Communication Technology (ICT) for All
  • Affordable Education for All
